Stargazer

Fragile Alantean tear,

Thy gold stained strands

Stream from the eye

Of thy mighty, silent Lion.

Crushed by the great paw

Of Ursus, thy remnants

Lie revealed behind

Orion’s Belt.

Lulynne Streeter is the 1st place winner of the 2015 Austin International Poetry Festival Christina Sergeyevna Prize. She has been a juried poet at the Houston Poetry Fest, an honorable mention at the International Human Rights Poetry Competition, and has been published in the Texas Poetry Calendar, Bayousphere, Houston Chronicle, Rio Grande International Poetry Festival 2015 poetry anthology Boundless, and won numerous awards and prizes.
